Can you believe this weather we’ve been having lately?! Who would have guessed that it would be 10 degrees celsius in January and February. I can’t help but think that this may be the calm before the storm and we’re really in for it in March and possibly into April. But hey, for now I’ll just say “this is fabulous!” and enjoy the great weather.

So, since we’re not freezing our Canadian tails off right now, there’s no excuse to stay cooped up in your home. There’s lots happening in Toronto right now, so get on out there and check out what’s going on in this awesome city of ours. Here are a few events

With just a few days until the holidays, I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for an incredible 2011. I’ve met many wonderful people and am blessed to have caring family and friends who support me both professionally and personally. I hope you have the same in your life.

Ok folks, this is where I get a bit mushy. With Christmas on the horizon and family gatherings being planned, this time of year makes me reminisce about family memories and traditions. Family and friends are very important to me, and while we should be showing our loved ones how appreciative we are of them year-round, there’s just something about Christmas that brings out the love. On the flip side, I imagine that for some, Christmas events with the family can make you a bit nutty, but I’d like to take a non-Grinchy approach here and look at the bright side.

Being a realtor, I have the privilege of helping my clients find a home that’s perfect for them. A home that will be the backdrop to many a birthday party, Thanksgiving dinners or Friday family game nights. Your home plays a vital role in creating family memories and I love the fact that I can have even the teeniest bit of involvement in helping you find the perfect home where these memories take place.

Now that the days are getting chillier and the arrival of snow is imminent over the next few months, perhaps you’re thinking of jetting off to warmer climates? Who doesn’t love a relaxing, Caribbean vacation to break up a long, Canadian winter? With that in mind, I wanted to do a travel spotlight this week on what I think is a great vacation spot, for both couples and families - the beautiful island of Sint Maarten/St. Martin.
