In the Spirit of Valentine's

Flowers for me? My lucky day!
Ah, Valentine’s Day. To some it’s about heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and red roses, and for others it’s just another reminder of singledom. Whatever your story, now that Valentine’s is behind us, here are a few heartwarming tidbits I’ve seen recently that are sure to make anyone smile.
If you’ve got pets or just love animals, you’re going to enjoy ‘Pet’s Valentine’s Day’ (Animals Kissing People and Each Other!) at Huffington Post: huff.to/yBOshf.
Have you ever seen a romantic infographic? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess the answer is no. Well, even if you have, I bet you’ve never seen an infographic proposal! Take a look at how a website editor/journalism prof at Stanford University delivered the news. Caution: Nerd Alert! http://goo.gl/9km8R.
I’ll end with a link to the real-life love story of Kim and Krickett Carpenter, the couple who inspired the movie “The Vow” which is in theatres right now (and I’m sure all the men are dying to see!) After being married for only 2 months, an accident left Krickett with no memory of her marriage so Kim decided to make her fall in love with him all over again. It’s an amazing story - read more about it here: http://goo.gl/qGWdG.
Even though Valentine’s Day is officially behind us, let’s do our part to keep the spirit alive all year round. So go ahead, grab a neighbour (or at least someone who won’t mind!) and give them a hug.
I’d love to hear some of your best Valentine’s stories. Let’s hear what you’ve got!
Cheers,
Lauretta
